Are you ready to take your Webflow web app to the next level? Look no further than Cal.com Platform, the latest innovation in scheduling technology. With Platform, you can seamlessly integrate scheduling capabilities directly into your web app, eliminating the need for users to register on Cal.com's platform separately.
What's New with Cal.com Platform?
Previously, Cal.com allowed users to create events within their platform and embed them into their websites or web apps. However, only the user and their team within Cal.com had the ability to manage these events. Now, with the introduction of Platform, Cal.com has transformed into a headless scheduling system. This means that you can now manage scheduling for your users directly within your app, without requiring them to register on Cal.com's platform.
How Does it Work?
Using the APIs exposed by Platform, you can integrate scheduling functionality into your web app. But since it's headless, to have the web interfaces you have two options:
- Using Atoms, which are ready-made components, think of it as similar to Stripe Elements – you have some customization options, but not complete control. Currently, Atoms is available for React, but Cal.com plans to expand its availability to vanilla JavaScript in the future
- Creating them from scratch
Integration with Webflow, Wized, and Xano
For those using Webflow for their web app or SaaS, you can integrate Cal.com Platform with tools like Wized and Xano. With Webflow, you can design the interfaces for managing bookings and availability, while Wized adds the necessary front-end logic to handle these interfaces and send data to the Xano backend. Xano then communicates with Cal.com Platform's APIs to manage the scheduling process.
Important note: Users of your app don't need to register within the Cal.com web app. On the backend, when a user registers, you can create a version of that user within Cal.com so they can manage their connected Google calendars. This operation is performed on the backend.
Use cases
You can create apps such as medical and client ones, where the doctor within your app sets their availability, can link Google Calendar accounts to ensure that other appointments do not overlap, create booking forms to request information before booking, and integrate payments with Stripe. Meanwhile, the user can book preferred slots through a calendar.
The Benefits of Using Cal.com Platform
The advantages of integrating Cal.com Platform into your web app are numerous. Not only can you save months of development time, but you can also focus more on the core features of your product. Additionally, by leveraging Cal.com's robust infrastructure, which already serves thousands of users, you can ensure reliability and scalability for your scheduling system.
